The Encounter,
Stories in Filigree

The projet

The Encounter is an act simple in appearance, yet intimate and overwhelming in its complexity. It requires a fine attention, a subtle surrender, an openness to the unexpected. It is that suspended moment when we no longer quite know who we are, nor what awaits us, but something new is unfolding.

This project questions this fragile and powerful mechanism that is the encounter. What does it truly mean for us to meet? How can an encounter, when embraced in its full depth—with its vulnerability, tensions, silences, and failures—become a force for transformation, revelation, and opening to the world?
Against a world saturated with information, speed, and surfaces, we want to give time back to the encounter. To explore its own rhythm. Its occasional slowness. Its intensity. Its mystery. Its power to move us, to crack open our social armor, and to question our place.

This performance is an invitation to look anew at the bonds that run through us. It seeks to give form to the intuition that meeting the Other—the Other who can be multiple: a person, a culture, a language, a memory, a place, a work of art—is also to meet an entire world, and perhaps, to meet oneself differently.

Composed like a mosaic of moments, a journey through fragments where each scene is an attempt at connection, this performance is at once a public space, an intimate space, a space of possibilities.

The event is created in two parts: an interactive installation inviting the audience into a space of questioning, resonance, and openness to the other, preparing the ground for the second part, the performance.
